Publie Utilities Service Centers, or Their Improvement Thereto, in the M1
and LMSD Zoning Districts and to Exempt These Existing Facilities, or
Their Improvement Thereto, From the Building Volume Envelope
Requirements of Santa Monica Municipal Code Section 9.04.10.02.040.
Recommended Action'
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance.
Executive Summary
At its meeting on May 11, 2010, the City Council introduced for first reading an
ordinance amending Santa Monica Municipal Code Sections 9.04.08.35.050 and
9.04.08.34.060 modifying the allowable height for existing solid waste transfer stations,
material recovery facilities, and public utilities service centers, or their improvement
thereto, in the M1 and LMSD Zoning Districts and to exempt these existing facilities, or
their improvement thereto, from the building volume envelope requirements of Santa
Monica Municipal Code Section 9.04.10.02.040. The ordinance is now presented to the
City Council for adoption.
