13-E: Request of Mayor Pro Tempore O'Connor and Councilmember Bloom for
Council to adopt the attached resolution supporting the California Air
Resources Board's (CARB'sjleadership in promoting Clean and Energy
Efficient motor vehicles, energy independence, zero emission technologies
and improved quality of life in California. This resolution is consistent with
past City policy. It urges CARB to develop and adopt expanded Low
emission Vehicle (LEV}standards that reduce criteria air pollutants and
green house gases while promoting the development and deployment of
zero emission vehicle options for consumers.
