Districts No. 4 and 5.
Introduction __
This report requests the City Council set a public hearing for
June 9, 1981 to hear protests regarding the work and confirm the
assessments on the gutter construction along Main Street between
Pico Boulevard and HollistereAvenue and Broadway between Lincoln
Boulevard and Eleventh Street. ;.•
Background
On August 12, 1980, after holding a noticed public hearing, the
City Council ordered the construction of concrete gutters along
Main Street between Pico Boulevard and Hollister Avenue (Item 7A).
On September 9, 1980, the Council ordered the construction of
concrete gutters along Broadway between Lincoln Boulevard and
Eleventh Street. These improvements were done in conjunction with
the 1979-80 street resurfacing program. The work has been
completed and property owners' share of the costs will now be due.
A public hearing must be held pursuant to Section 5882 of the
California Streets and Highways Code. A resolution setting the
public hearing is attached. The Street Superintendent's Report
Assessment Roll will be presented at the time of the public
hearing.

Recommendation
It is recommended the City Council adopt the attached resolution
setting a public hearing for June 9, 1981 on the assessment of
costs of Gutter Districts No. 4 and 5.
