Introduction This report requests the City Council award a contract for the 8-inch sewer replacement in Santa Monica Place South and Yale Court to Colorado Place North and Wilshire Place South and Franklin Court to Arizona Avenue to Jahn T. Malloy, Inc., the lowest responsible bidder, in the amount of $61,850.00. Background Due to the corrosive acid action of sewer gases on the above mentioned concrete sewer pipe, portions of this pipe have become too thin to support the earth load above and could collapse causing the sewer to become inopera- tibe. A Notice Inviting Bids. was advertised as required. Plans and specifications were issued to 22 contractors. FUNDS AVAILABLE Funds are available in Account No. 31-500-661-000-902 in the amount of $95,000. RECOMMENDATION It is recommended the City Council: 1) Award a contract to John T. Plalloy, Inc., 606 N.
