SUBJECT: Proposed Street Lighting on Sunset Avenue from Seventeenth
Street to Dewey Street
Introduction
This report requests City Council adopt a Resolution approving the Special
Provisions No. 941 and Drawing No. 5337 as required under the provisions
of .the Improvement Act of 1911. The Special Provisions and Drawing are
the specifications and drawing for the construction of the street lighting
on Sunset Avenue.
Background
The Resolution of Intention, for the installation of high pressure sodium
street lighting on Sunset Avenue from Seventeenth Street to Dewey Street,
was adopted on October 14, 1980 (Item 11-F). Plans and specifications for
the project have been completed and are ready to be submitted to the
contractors for bidding. The proposed project schedule is as follows:

Award Contract ..............o. May 12
Complete Construction......... September 15
Recommendation
It i.s recommended the City Council adopt the Resolution approving plans
and specifications.
