SUBJECT: Recommendation to award bid for a Galvanized Steel
Pre-Fab Building for the tiJater Department. Bid No.
1608.
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for a Galvanized Steel Pre-Fab
Building (to be used for storage) in the total amount of $4,903.64
including applicable sales tax, Funds for this purchase have been
budgeted in account nurmber 65100-008.
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish and
deliver the Galvanized Steel Pre~-Fab Building in accordance
with City specifications, bids were received and publicly opened
and read. Proposal forms were mailed to twelve vendors and
notices were advertised in accordance with City Charter and
Municipal Code provisions. One proposal was received.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to Safeway Steel Products
in the total amount of $4,903.64, including tax, as the locaest
and best bidder.
