SUBJECT: Recommendation to award bid for Asbestos Cement Pipe
and Fittings to Certain teed Corporation. Bid No. 1616
This is to be used in the Water Department.
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for Asbestos Cement Pipe and Fittings
in the total amount of $194,120,13 including applicable sales
tax. Funds for this purchase have been budgeted in account number
38-955-200-000-000.
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish and
deliver Asbestos Cement Pipe and Fittings in accordance with
City specifications, bids were received and publicly opened and
read May 28, 1981. Proposal forms were mailed to eleven vendors
and notices were advertised in accordance with City Charter and
Plunicipal Code provisions. Ttao proposals were receiveda
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to Certain teed Corporation
in the total amount of $194,120.13, including tax, as the lowest
and best bidder.
