SUBJECT: Recommendation to Award Bid for Two Electric Motors for
Enterprise Water Department. Bid No. 1598.
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for two electric motors in the
total amount of $13,377.20 including applicable sales taxo Funds
for this purchase have been budgeted in account number 65100-009
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish and
deliver two electric motors in accordance with City specifications,
bids were received and publicly opened and read March 31, 1981.
Proposal forms were mailed to nine vendors and notices were
advertised in accordance with City Charter and Municipal Code
provisions. Two proposals were received.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to McCalla Brothers in the
total amount of $13,377.20, including tax, as the lowest and
best bidder,
