SUBJECT: Recommendation to award bid for On Site Welding for
the Water Department. February 1, 1981 through January
31, 1982. Bid No. 1582
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for Portable Welding Service.
in the total amount of $15,000.00 including applicable sal_PS tax.
Funds for this purchase have been budgeted in yariou~ account
numbers.
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish and
deliver Portable Welding Services in accordance with City
specifications, bids were received and publicly opened and read
December 30, 1980. Proposal forms were mailed to ,five Vendors
and notices were advertised in accordance with City Charter and
Municipal Code provisions. One proposal was received.'
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to S & S Welding in the
total amount of $15,000.00, including tax, as the lowest and best
bidder.
