SUBJECT: Recommendation to Waive Formal Bid Procedure for
Organic Analysis of Well and Drinking Water Sample
Introduction
This report concerns sole source procurement for Water Analysis
in the total amount of $6,960.00 including applicable sales
tax. Funds for this purchase have been budgeted in account
number 63130.000.
Background
Research by Staff has determined West Coast Technical services
to be the most accurate Laboratory for Water Analysis. Con-
sequently their services have been .used by the City in the past.
A change of testing Laboratories at this point would necessitate
additional time and expense above and beyond the present cost.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the City Council waive formal bidding
procedures for this service and that the City Manager be authorized
to execute a purchase agreement with West Coast Technical Services,
Inc. in the total amount of $6,960.00, including tax.
