SUBJECT: Final Map Approval
Introduction
This report transmits a Final Map for City Council approval of the following
condominium projectvahich had received Tentative approval September 18, 1978:
TRACT ADDRESS DEVELOPER UNITS-
35217 -1525 Tenth Street Edmund & Sharon L. Kanan 18 (conversion)
Robert Pl. & Nancy E. Jacobs
Background
After public hearing and careful review of the record and staff recommendations,
the City Planning Commission approved the. Tentative Map for the above project.
The action of the Planning Commission was based on their finding that the proposed
subdivision is in conformance. with all state and local laws and regulations and
applicable General Plan Elements. The Final Map conforms to the Tentative Map.
The License Division reports that the developer has either paid or agreed to pay
the condominium tax. The Building and Safety and Fire Departments indicate that
the project meets present fire safety requirements and that the owner has agreed
to install approved ionic smoke detector devices in each unit. Approval by the
County Engineer's Office has been received for the project.
Alternatives
There is substantial legal question as to the City Council's ability to act on this
Map. The City Attorney will have a specific recommendation regarding the Council's
action prior to the date of the Council.meetinq.
