A RESOLUTION OF-THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA REVISING THE PUBLIC RIDE FEE FOR THE
SANTA MONICA PIER CAROUSEL
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica operates the Santa Monica Pier Carousel
for the public's enjoyment and benefit; and
WHEREAS, an analysis of the current carousel ride fee demonstrates that ticket
prices should be adjusted to more accurately reflect rising operational, maintenance and
other costs; and
WHEREAS, as adjusted, the ride fee will remain competitive with ticket prices at
other carousels: and
WHEREAS, the Pier Restoration Corporation Board of Directors recommends
the revision of the current ride fee.
NO`JV, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. Effective May 1, 2010, the public ride fee for the Santa Monica Fier
Carcusel.shall be set at $1.00 for children three to fourteen years of age, $2.00 #or
adults fifteen years of age and older, and children two years of age and under are
permitted to ride for free when accompanied by a ticketed adult.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the. adoption of this Resolution, and
thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
