Flowers, Jr. Introduction This is a request for approval of a Final Tract Map for an 11 unit condominium conversion at the southeasterly corner of Lincoln and California. Request is by Attorney Sherman L. Stacey r~resenting the subdivider. Background The Tentative Tract Map was approved on April 17, 1978 with con- ditions that an additional parking stall be provided by relocation of a laundry room and a water heater, that security gates be pro- vided and minor painting and stuccoing be completed. The Final Tract Map was filed on June 29, 1979. Inspection on August 31st indicated the work of replacing the laundry room was still in pro- gress and submission of the Final blap was delayed and the Council's subsequent policy requiring prior Rent Control Board approval pre- cluded later submission. On February 16, 1979 the Tentative Tract Map had been extended to ~ a April 17, 1980. ~1AY 2 7 19 On March 12, 1980 Attorney Sherman L. Stacey requested approval of the Tentative Tract Map on the basis that all conditions of .the Tentative Tract Map have been met and the City Council had MAY 1 $ i98D t~ APR 2 2 198D Mayor and City Council - 2 - April 15, 1980 rescinded the policy requiring prior rent control approval. The request for Final Map approval was filed prior to the April 17th Tentative Map expiration date but administrative delays have pre- cluded the matter being scheduled for the City Council until the meeting of April 22nd. On April 7, 1980 the Planning Commission granted a further extension for six months on condition that an exemption, removal permit or vested right be obtained from the Rent Control Board prior to Final Map approval. Recommendation Inasmuch as the applicant has complied with the Tentative Tract Map requirements and the request for Final .Map approval was re- ceived well in advance of the Tentative Tract PQap expiration date of April 17, 1980, even though the matter has not been scheduled for Council action until April 22, 1980, it is respectfully recommended that the Final Map be approved.
