sr-052780-6t4(~•~ ~iAY 2 7 9980 Santa Monica, California; May 15, 1980 TO:; .Mayor and .City Council FROMc City Staff SUBJECT: Final Map Approval Introduction This report transmits a Final Map for City Council approval of the following condominium project which received Tentative Approval October 15, 1979: TRACT ADDRESS DEVELOPER UNITS 38366 2659-2669 Centinela Avenue William Cook, S.J.Dudzinsky, Jr. 34(new} Diane E.,,Narold and Beatrice Foster Background. After public hearing and careful review of the record and staff recommendations, the City Planning Commission approved *he Tentative Map fpr the above project. .The .action of the Planning Commission was based on their finding that the pro- . posed subdivision should cause no substantial environmental damage and is in conformance with all state and local laws and regulations and. applicable General Plan Elements. The Final Map conforms to the Tentative Map. The License Division reports that the developer has either paid or agreed to pay the condominium tax. The Building and Safety and Fire Departments indicate that the project meets present fire safety .requirements. .Approval by .the County Engineer's office has been received for the project. A demolition permit was issued March 2, 1979 and 24 units were removed by March 29, 1979. A building permit was issued February 5, 1980 and work is expected to be completed soon. Alternatives Statz and City ordinances require approval of final subdivision maps which comply. wi happroved Tentative Maps. j~ ~•T/ ~iAY B 7 9980. Mayor and City Council Page 2 Recommendation Inasmuch as the final Map conforms to the approved Tentative Map, the buildings meet required safety standards and the tax has been paid or an agreement to pay executed, it is respectfully recommended that the City Council affirm the find- ings of the Planning Commission and approve said Map.
