A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA SETTING VARIOUS PARKING PERMIT FEES
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica is charged with the operation and
maintenance of the beach parking lots at Santa Monica State Beach pursuant to a 2006
Operating Agreement with the State of California, Department of Parks and Recreation;
WHEREAS, on June 17, 2008 the City Council of the City of Santa Monica (Council)
adopted Resolution Number 10307 (City Council Series) setting fee rates for pier and
beach parking lots;
WHEREAS. Sections 2 and 3 of Resolution Number 10307 set rates for beach
parking permits;
WHEREAS, on November 25, 2008, Council adopted Resolution Number 10361
(City Council Series) a master fee resolution setting fee rates for a various City services;
WHEREAS, Resolution Number 10361 inadvertently failed to incorporate accurately
the rates previously adopted by Resolution Number 10307 and also inaccurately recited
other rates;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Parking permits in beach parking lots are available to California
residents at the following rates:
Annual $155/year
Semi-Ahnual $105/six months
Monthly $27/month
Senior Lifetime Pass $2.20/year
Replacement Lifetime Pass $2.20/year
SECTION 2. Parking permits in beach parking lots are available to employees of
businesses that are tenants along the beach and/or Pier at the following rates:
Annual $155/year
Semi-Annual $105/six months
Monthly $27/month
SECTION 3. Overnight beach parking permits are available to Santa Monica
residents living within the Coastal Zone at the following rates:
Monthly Overnight Resident Permit
Monthly Overnight Resident Guest Permit
Semi-Annual Overnight Resident Permit
Semi-Annual Overnight Resident Guest P~
Annual Overnight Resident Permit
Annual Overnight Resident Guest Permit

$75/six months

SECTION 4. If there are any conflicts between the rates adopted in this resolution
and any adopted by prior resolution, the increased rates adopted through this resolution
shall take precedence.
SECTION 5. Resolution Number 10361 inadvertently failed to incorporate
accurately the rates previously adopted by Resolution Number 10307, and contained other
inadvertent errors. Nothing in Resolution Number 10361 was intended to reduce the rates
previously set by Resolution Number 10307. Furthermore, any other error created by
Resolution Number 10361 was unintended and all other rates collected pursuant to

Resolution Number 10361 were correctly collected regardless of the terms of that
resolution.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and
thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
