A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE SANTA MONICA REVISING THE
PRICE SCHEDULE FOR WOODLAWN CEMETERY
WHEREAS, the City Council may establish new price schedules from time to
time for the price of property and all services throughout the Cemetery, including the
Mausoleum, pursuant to Section 7.20.110 of the Santa Monica Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, due to increasing costs of operating the Cemetery it was determined
that the prices for property and services be increased.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The following price schedule for property and services (including
discounts) at Woodlawn Cemetery and Mausoleum is hereby adopted and effective as
of November 10, 2009:

DISCOUNTS
5% discount off interment property, goods or service prices for any resident of
the City of Santa Monica.
5% discount off interment property, goods or service prices for any individual who
works in the City of Santa Monica.
5% discount off interment property, goods and service prices if complete
"package" is purchased which includes vault, casket or urn and other products..

PAYMENT PLANS
Pre-Need payment plan not to exceed 60 months with a minimum down payment
of 10% and one percent monthly interest on unpaid balance. No interments will
be completed until balance is paid in full. Payment plans will not be extended to
at-need deaths.
SALE OF INTERMENT PROPERTY PRIOR TO DEVELOPMENT
Interment property can be sold up to one year prior to the development of the
property.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution, and
thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
Commencing on July 1, 2010 and on July 1 of each fiscal year thereafter, all
prices set by this resolution shall be administratively revised and increased annually by
a factor equal to the difference in the Los Angeles-Anaheim-Riverside Consumer Price
Index for Wage Earners and Clerical Workers for the twelve (12) month period February
through February of the prior fiscal year, except that any such administrative revision
shall not be less than any annual cost of living adjustment provided to the employees of
the City of Santa Monica through Memorandums of Understanding entered into
between the City and the employees' bargaining representatives for the comparable
fiscal year, and in no event shall the annual administrative revision be less than zero
percent (0%).

SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution, and
thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
