SUBJECT: Final Tract P4ap No. 34997, Santa Monica Place
Introduction
This report transmits the Final Tract Map for the downtown re-
development project for City Council approval.
Background
In 1978 the Planning Commission approved Tentative Tract Map
No. 34997 for replating the two blocks and vacated streets and
alleys comprising the site for Santa Monica Place. The tract is
divided into five parcels, one for each department store, one
for each parking structure and the remaining mall area.
Recommendation
The Final Tract Map complies with the approved Tentative Map in
a31 areas and it is respectfully recommended that it be approved
as submitted.

THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA ACCEPTING
AND APPROVING SL'BDIVISIODI MAP OF
TRACT NO. 34997
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MO~IICA DOES RESOL~~
as FoLLOws:
SECTION 1. That the Map of Tract No. 34997 in the City of
Santa Monica presented by the Redevelopment Agency of the City
of Santa Monica, Santa Monica Place Associates and Carter, Hawley,
Hale Stores, Inc., being a subdivision to permit division of
Blocks 196 and 197, including vacation of Third Street, Second
and Third Courts from Broadway to Colorado, as shown on Amended
Map of Town of Santa Monica, Miscellaneous Records Book. 39, Pages
45 through 51, Records of Los Angeles County, be and the same
hereby is accepted and approved.
SECTION 2. That the.City Clerk hereby is authorized and
directed to endorse upon the face of said Map this. order authen-
ticated by the Seal of the City of Santa Monica.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adop-
tion of this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same
shall be in full force and effect.
