Lyons from the determination of the Planning Commission's denial of a Tenta- tive Tract Map for conversion of an existing apartment house to condominiums. Background On November 20, 1978 the applicant filed a Tentative Tract blap for conversion of the 36 unit apartment at 305 San Vicente Boule- vard.to condominiums. The application came before.the Planning Commission on April 2, 1979, was opposed by a number of the tenants and continued to April 16th for further action. On April I6th the matter was continued to May 2nd at which time it was denied following further opposition by 9 pealed to the City Council. The Council could also grant the appeal, adding such require- ment as they may believe indicated. Recommendation Inasmuch as the Planning Commission has .carefully considered the application. on two occasions including public comments on both occasions and determined that the proposed conversion should not be approved, it is respectfully recommended that the appeal be denied and the decision of the Planning Commission be upheld.
