This ordinance was introduced at the Council iKeeting of September 11, 1979. BACKGROUND This ordinance concerns. a vacant 120' lot on 29th street which could presently be developed with. a 7 unit apartment or condominium on the southerly 60° and a duplex on the northerly 60' for a total of 9 units. A Zoning Ordinance was introduced at the September 11, 1979, City Council meeting which provides a change to 30' of R2 and 40' of P.1 to construct 7 condominiums and a single family home on a 40' portion. SECTI0~7 2: The City Council finds that a public hearing cvas held before the planning Commission of the City of Santa ~4onica on July 2, 1979, and that the planning Commission has recorunended such change of zone to the City Council. SECTION 3. The City Council finds and determines that the public necessity, convenience, general welfare and good Section 1 be made. SECTIOT_d 4. Any provisions of the Santa 4nica Municipal Code, or appendices thereto inconsistent hereuaith, to the extent of such inconsistencies and no further, are hereby repealed or modified to that extent necessary to effect the provisions of this ordinance. If any section, subsection;. sentence; clause, or phrase of this ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by a decision of any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of the ordinance. The City Council hereby declares that it would have passed this ordinance and each and every section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase not declared invalid or unconstitutional i~7ithout regard to ~,•~hether any portion of the ordinance would be subsequently declared invalid or unconstitutional. SECTIOPd 6. The r2ayor shall sign and the City Clerk shall attest to the passage of this ordinance. mhe City Clerk shall cause the same to be published once in the official newspaper within fifteen (15) days after its adoption.
