Colorado Avenue to U~rilshire Boulevard
In December, 1962 this office received a
reouest from the Evening Outlook to initiate a
street lighting moderizization program for Second.
Street sirilar to the existing systems on Third and
Fourth Streets.
In accordance ~iJit'r~ present Council policy,
this office conducted a post card survey to deter-
mine the swishes of tine property owners on Second
Street, between Colorado Avenue and i~dilshire Boule-
vard, relative to such a prograi,l, The results of
this survey are tabulated. belov~:
Total montage - 4,800.0 feet - 100J
Frontage in favor - 1,.380.5 feet - 28.760
Frontage opposed - 944.5 feet - 19n68;o
No reply - 2,325.0 feet - 48.44go
In favor if PMall approved - 150.0 feet - 3,12;
Since the results of the survey sno~-,1 that
the majority are not opposed to the proposed -program,
it is recommended that the City Council be requested
to authorize the Street Superintendent to initiate
3911 Act proceedings for the subject improvement.
