In compliance with the procedure set forth in the City Managers Memo of December 12, 1863, subject "Procedure for handling Requests for an Encroachment Permit," the re .are transmitted herewith the Application for Building Encroachment Permit, as submitted by King Yan ~,~iu, together with the favorable reeomrnendation of the Building Officer, Planning Director, and myself . The requested encroachment will consist of 4" at sidewalk grade, decreasing to 0" approximately 5' above the sidewalk grade. The purpose of this re- quest is to construct a sloping vertical wall over an existing concrete block wall, for architectural reasons, It is recommended that the City Council be requested to authorize the issuance of a permit to construct the footing and wall as outlined above.
