SUBJECT: Recommendation for Encroachment Permit -
2400 Broadway (For Cloverfield Boulevard widening}.
Transmitted heretaith is the "Field Report and Recommendation
for Proposed Building Encroachment" for concrete caissons
encroaching four (4) inches into the public -right-of-way of
Cloverfield Boulevard.
The City acquired 16 feet of property along Cloverfield
Boulevard for the widening of Cloverfield Boulevard. This
16 feet of property was also occupied by a building. The
building is nova being remodeled by cutting off the westerly
16 feet of said building. It is necessary to support the
new wall by means of constructing 24-inch diameter caissons.
The outside of these caissons will encroach four (~) inches
into the new Cloverfield Boulevard right-of-way, All of the
encroachment will be below the sidewalk grade, and will in
no way interfere with the public use of the new proposed
sidewalk.
It is recommended that the City Council be -requested to
approve this encroachment.
