Request of General Telephone Company for Underground
Encroachment in Sixth Court.
The General Tele hone Company has requested
permission to install an 1~" conduit, to carry chilled
water supply and return lines for their air conditioning
system, under and across Sixth Court between their two
existing buildings located at 1301 - 6th Street and
1314 - 7th. Street.
They propose to place the conduit at a minimum
depth of 10 feet below the alley surface, which is belova
the level of the deepest utility at that point. To avoid
interference with alley traffic they propose to drill a
horizontal hole - they will not open cut.
It is the recommendation of this office that
the request be granted, subject to the condition that
the General Telephone Company be responsible for any
and all damage to the sewer line or other utilities that
might result from the placement of this conduit.
