SUBJECT: Public Hearing - t~'eed abatement Agenda Item (4-A) `'` „ _ -
On January 24, 1967 2esolution 3566 (CCS) was adopted
listing all properties on which weeds existed and tiahich lots urere to
be posted advising file owners that the City would have the weeds
abated or the owner could have it done (all at the o~xners expense).
Subsequently, the date of the public .hearing was set
(i'ebruary 28) and such notice was given to the property owners by
"notices° posted on the lots involved.
In preparing the agenda last Thursday the item showing
the public hearing for the weed abatement was not included. It
was not until today that +.he omission was noted.
Bob Ogle has indicated that the public hearing should be
held and that there will be no violation of the f}wernment Code
regarding the abatement program since the lots ~rrere properly posted.
Item 9-B If the Council authorizes the weeds to be abated in
Agenda Item 4-A, then the award of the bid to the lowest bidder
is in order.
