SUBJECT: Request for Approval of Encroachment - Claude Short
Dodge Facility, 12th Street Frontage.
Transmitted herewith is tine "Field Report and
Recommendation for Encroachment Permit" for 1127 Santa
PQonica Boulevard.
The permit provides for the construction of
a 3o'-foot extension, along 12th Street, of an existing
structure 150 feet long which encroaches 4 inches into
city property. It is not practical to remove the exist-
ing encroachment, and no real purpose *~rould be served
by requiring a ~-inch. offset in the wall to keep the new
extension off city property. The public use of the city
property is not adversely affected in any way by this
encroachment.
It is recommended that the City Council be
requested to approve this encroachment.
