The widening of Lincoln Boulevard, from Santa b4onica Boule-
vard to 150 feet + north. of G~Tilshire Boulevard, has been
completed and is ready for striping.
Traffic volurles on this portion of Lincoln Boulevard, and
particularly the volume of left turn movements southbound
on Lincoln at Santa Blonica Boulevard and fror.: both direc-
tions at G~Tilshire Boulevard, make it highly desirable to
provide left turn pockets at these locations, as sho;~m on
the attached print.
The installation of these left turn pockets ti~rill require
the removal of the follo,~ring non-metered parking spaces:
Vvilshire to Arizona, East side -__________ 5 or 6
G~Tilshire to Arizona, Guest side -----------
Arizona to Santa P~onica Blvd., East side-- 2
Arizona to Santa i~roni ca Blvd., G~Test side-- 1
Gyre have deferred the street striping in order to permit the
Council to revie~rr the proposal prior to spending the time
and money involved in the proposed work.
Unless the Council raises objections to the plan at the
