Transmitted herewith is a self-explanatory memo dated December 19, 1907 from the Parking and Traffic Engineer, subject same as above, together with copies of the graphs referred to therein. Briefly summarized, the Traffic Engineer is recommending, in view of the observed speeds on 26th Street from Wilshire Boulevard to San Vicente Boulevard, that the posted speed limit on this sectioh of 26th Street be increased from 30 m.p.h. to 35 m.p.h. I concur in this recommendation. If you concur, it is recommended that the City Council be requested to approve this increase in the speed limit and to instruct the City Attorney to prepare an amendment to Municipal Code Section 3347-A, paragraphs 2 and 3, providing for these increases, as outlined in the Traffic Engineer's memo.
