SUBJECT: Request for Appropriation - Refuse Bins ~' _.
The Sanitation Division presently has out on lease 283
refuse bins. We have ten - 2 cubic yard bins remaining
for rental, and at the present rate of requests of ten
per month we will be out of bins by the middle of March.
We propose to request funds in the 1,968-69 budget for
1~0 - 2 cubic yard bins, which we would propose to buy
in January of 1969. From March, until these bins are
purchased, however, we will be unable to satisfy requests.
Therefore, it is recommended that the City Council be
requested to appropriate X12,000 for the purchase of
10~ - 2 cubic yard bins. .The cost of these bins, of
course, is recovered through rental charges of X7.50 per
month.
