The official street name map on file in my office shows
"Grant Avenue" extending from 6th Street to 11th Street, and
"Grant Street" extending from 11th Street to 16th Street.
This mixture of names has caused considerable con-
fusion on occasion but never has been corrected.
In order to eliminate the confusion and provide for
one narne for the full length of the street it is recommended
that the City Council authorize the name of that portion of
the street between 6th and 11th Street to be changed from
"Grant Avenue" to "Grant Street11.
