On August 21 the City Council in response to a regtzest fz•om Robert
Jacobson directed the admixxistration to set up same type of seminar.
to evaluate comanunity televisian service, programming, etc.
including oux• franchise (~alxich expire s in 1977] and to include in
it staff fram Rand Corpox°~tion, Theta Cable and Communications
Segm.exxt- of U. C. L. A. and others.
The attached letter from D4r. Jacobson outlines the format he feels
should be fo].la~.~ed and particularly requests a 1.>ossible starting
date far the program that t~•auld cozzsi.st of six sessions of three
hours each held either in the- evening or on Saturday ~~.norni.ng, He
expressly i.s hopaful that the members of the Council wi7.7. be able
