Introduction
This is an appeal from the Planning Commission's denial of an
extension for a tentative tract map.
Background
The tentative tract was originally approved on May 21, 1979 with
a requirement of Rent Control approval. On May 19, 1980 an exten-
sion was granted to November 21, 1980 on the basis that the appli-
cant had expended 510000 and was applying for Rent Control
approval. On October 27, 1980 an application for a removal permit
was filed with the Rent Control Board and a request for a further
extension to permit completion of the procedure. The extension
was denied by the Planning Commission on November 3, 1980,
reaffirmed on November 21, 1980 and appealed by the owner,
Alternatives
Under the City's subdivision procedures the City Council may
affirm, reverse or modify any action of the Planning Commission
in regard to a tentative tract map.
Recommendation
In the absence of any indication that the action of the Planning
Commission was arbitrary or unreasonable, it is respectfully

recommended that the appeal be denied and the action of the
commission be affirmed.
