This report transmits a Final Map for City Council approval of the following
condominium project which received Tentative Approval May 7, 1979 with exten-
sions granted to May 7, 1981:

Background
After public hearing and careful review of the record and staff recommendations,
the City Planning Commission approved the Tentative Map for the above project.
The action of the Planning Commission was based on its finding that the pro-
posed subdivision should cause no substantial environmental damage and is in
conformance with all state and local laws and regulations and applicable General
Plan Elements. The Final ~4ap conforms to the Tentative Map. The License Division
reports. that the developer has either paid or agreed to pay the condominium tax.
The Building and Safety and Fire Departments indicate that the project meets
present fire safety requirements. Approval by the County Engineer's office has
been received for the project.
Two units were removed by March 30,1979 on demolition permit issued March 23,
1979. A building permit issued July 1, 1980 has expired. Anew permit to
meet new Code requirements is expected to be issued April 10, 1981.
Alternatives
State and City ordinances require approval of final subdivision maps which comply

Recommendation
Inasmuch as the Final Map conforms to the approved Tentative Map, the buildings
meet required safety standards and the tax has been paid or an agreement to pay
executed, it is respectfully recommended that the City Couhcil affirm the find-
ings of the Planning Commission and approve said Map. by approving the attached
Resolution.

AND APPROVING SUBDIVISION MAP OF
TRACT NO. 36802
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MOPIICA DOES RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the Map of Tract No. 36802 in the City of
Santa Monica presented by Charles C. Hou, being a subdivision
for condominium purposes of Lot 261, Tract No. 6330, as shown
on Map recorded in Book 69, Pages 33 to 37, inclusive, of Maps,
Records of Los Angeles County, be and the same hereby is accepted
and approved.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk hereby is authorized and
directed to endorse upon the face of said Map this order authen-
ticated by the Seal of the City of Santa Monica.
SECTION 3, That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall
be in full force and effect.
