Introducti
This report transmits a Final Map for City Council approval of the following
condominium project which received Tentative Approval January 19, 1981:
TRACT ADDRESS DEVELOPER UNITS
41645 618 Lincoln Boulevard Edmond and Daniel Kanan 5 (new)
Background
After public hearing and careful review of the record and staff recommendations,
the City Planning Commission approved the Tentative Map for the above project.
The action of the Planning Commission was based on its finding that the pro-
posed subdivision should cause no substantial environmental damage and is in
conformance with all state and local laws and regulations and applicable General
Plan Elements. The Final i4ap conforms to the Tentative Map. The License Division
reports that the developer has either paid or agreed to pay the condominium tax,
The Building and Safety and Fire Departments indicate that the project meets
present fire safety requirements. Approval by the County Engineer's office has
been received for the project.
Pent Control exemption for removal was granted August 14, 1980 and earlier,
June 21, 1979, exemption from rent control was granted due to owner occupancy.
Demolition was completed from December 19 to 20, 1980 and construction began
February 28, 7981. The project is now nearing completion.

Alternatives
1. Approve the final subdivision map if the City Council finds that the final
subdivision map is in substantial compliance with the tentative subdivision
map. .
2. Disapprove the final subdivision map if the City Council finds that the
final subdivision map is not in substantial compliance with the tentative
subdivision map or if the City Council makes any of the findings set forth in
Government Code Section 66474. '
Recommendation
Ft is respectfully recommended that the final map be approved unless the
Council makes the required findings for denial set forth in Section 66474 of
the Government Code.

THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA ACCEPTING
AND APPROVING SUBDIVISION MAP OF
TRACT N0, 41645
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MO'dICA DOES RESOLVE
AS FOLLOIJS:
SECTION 1. That the Map of Tract No. 41645 in
the City of Santa Monica be and the same hereby accepted and
approved.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk hereby is authorized
and directed to endorse upon the face of said Map this
order authenticated by the Seal of the City of Santa Monica.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall. certify to the
adoption of this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
