Recommended Action
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance.
Executive Summary
At its meeting on September 16, 2008, the City Council introduced for first reading an
ordinance adding Section 8.40.030 to the Santa Monica Municipal Code establishing
solar photovoltaic ("PV") installation standards to ensure public safety. The ordinance is
now presented to the City Council for adoption.
