SUBJECT: Final Map Approval
Introduction
This report transmits a Final Map for City Council approval of the following
condominium project which received Tentative Approval February 25, 1980.

Background
After public hearing and careful review of the record and staff recommendations, .
the City Planning Commission approved the Tentative Map for the above project.
The action of the Planning Commission was based on its finding that the pro-
posed subdivision should cause no substantial environmental damage and is in
conformance with all state and local laws and regulations and applicable General
Plan Elements. The Final Map conforms to the Tentative Map. The License Division
reports that the developer. has either paid or agreed to pay the condominium tax.
The Building and Safety and Fire Departments indicate that the project meets
present fire safety requirements. Approval by the County Engineer's office has
been received for the project.
An 8-unit building had been moved off its foundation by-April 10, 1979 for
relocation within the City by permit issued March 7, 1979. A building permit
was issued April 17, 1980 but new construction has not been started.
Alternatives
State and City ordinances require approval of final subdivision maps which comply
with approved Tentative Maps.

Inasmuch as the Final Map conforms to the approved Tentative Map, the buildings
meet required safety standards and the tax has been paid or an agreement to pay
executed, it is respectfully recommended that the City Council affirm the find-
ings of the Planning Commission and approve said Map.. by adopting the attached
resolution.

AND APPROVING SUBDIVISION MAP OF
TRACT NO. 39644
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAIQTA MOPIICA DOES RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the Map of Tract No. 39644 in the City of
Santa Monica presented by James S. and Elsie Taye Muramatsu,
officers in Centinela Company, Inc., being a subdivision for
condominium purposes of a portion of Lot 7, Block 20, Serra
Heights, as shown on Map recorded in Book 7, Page 48 of Maps,
Records of Los Angeles County, be and the same hereby is accepted
and approved.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk hereby is authorized and
directed to endorse upon the face of said D4ap this order authenti-
Gated by the Seal of the City of Santa Monica.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall
be in full force and effect.
