SUBJECT: DR 050, Revised Staff Report, Proposed Mini-Storage,
.3250 Olympic Blvd., M2, Calvin B. Gross, Lessee.
Staff is in receipt of new information regarding the proposed
construction costs for the 40,000 sq,ft. of building to be
converted to mini-storage use which affects the development
fee. Accordingly the following explanation and revision is
respectfully submitted.
A. The fee as computed in the Staff Report was based on
40,000 sq.ft. of construction.
B. The fee in accordance with Resolution 6385 should be
assessed against the proposed addition based on
adjusted gross floor area.
C. The adjusted gross floor area of the second floor
addition deducting stairwells, bearing walls and floor
cutouts for loading purposes equals approximately
19,000 sq.ft.
D, Based on the original figure for construction costs at
$10.00 per sq.ft. as estimated by the Building
Department those costs would be $190,000 which by
assessing the 8o development fee would result in a
revised figure of $15,200.00.
