Introduction This report concerns the disposal of a surplus piece of equip- ment; a 1952 Mack Triple Combination Pumper for the Fire Department. Background The 1952 Mack Triple Combination is a 1,000 GPM Pumper (serial #ENF707B20855) with power steering, air brakes, and a gasoline engine. The Fire Department has declared that this unit is obso- lete, unusable, and non-salvageable according to the specific needs of the Fire Department. The current market value of the unit is neglible. Therefore, staff recommends that the City grant the 1952 Mack Pumper to the Santa Monica Fire Fighter's Association located at: 1301 19th Street, Santa Monica, California. The City Manager shall execute and appropriate grant agreement to ensure that the truck is used for appropriate uses such as parades, various public relations functions, and other activities that promote the training of Fire Fighters. .~ ~cion~ - 1 - Recommendation It is recommended that the City Manager be authorized to execute an agreement granting the 1952 Mack Triple Combination 1,000 GPM Pumper (serial #ENF707B20855) to the Santa Monica Fire Fighters Association.
