an analysis and generate recommendations to develop an effective Barron plastic
bags for commercial establishments in Santa Monica.

TASK FORCE ON THE ENVIRONMENT
Discussion and Recommendations Regarding Plastic Bags
After discussion, the Task Force made the following motion:
Motion 2
The Santa Monica Task Force on the Environment urges city council to direct staff to
do an analysis and bring back recommendations to develop ah effective ban on
plastic bags for commercial establishments in Santa Monica. The ban should be in
place by earth day 2009.
The motion passed unanimously.
