Subject: Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Execute an Amendment to the
Memorandum of Understanding with the Supervisory Team Associates
Recommended Action
This report requests that Council adopt the attached Resolution authorizing the City
Manager to execute an amendment to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with
the Supervisory Team Associates.
Executive Summary
The current Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Supervisory Team
Associates (STA) does not expire until June 30, 2008. The City and STA agreed to
open the MOU to add a performance evaluation appeal process to the MOU and to
delete any reference to the performance evaluation ratings automatically resulting in
disciplinary action to bring the MOU into compliance with proposed changes to the
City's civil service rules and regulations. The amendment to the MOU has been
approved by the elected representatives of STA.
