Recommended Action
This report requests that Council adopt the attached Resolution authorizing the City
Manager to execute an amendment to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with
the United Transportation Union, Local 1785.
Executive Summary
The current Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the United Transportation
Union, Local 1785 (UTU) does not expire until June 30, 2008. The City and UTU
agreed to open the MOU to add a performance evaluation appeal process to the MOU
and to change the provision pertaining to the usage of sick leave to give employees
represented by UTU parity with the employees represented by the other City bargaining.
