ban Development (HUD) in 1976 for the Section 8 Housing Assis-
tance payments. Program. The Ace is amended from time-to-time to
extend its term, include new allocations for additional units, or

housing certificates.
Forty-seven (47) 2-bedroom housing cer-
tificates were redistributed to the I-bedroom and 3-bedroom cat-
egories in order to provide section 8 subsidies to the large num-
ber of households waiting for assistance in those categories.
The Housing commission of the city of Santa Monica reviewed the
amended ACC and the attached resolution authorizing its execution
at its May 21, 1987 meeting.
FINANCIAL/BUDGETARY IMPACT
The administration of the section 8 Program is handled by the
Housing Authority of the County of Los Angeles (HACoLA) under a
Cooperation Agreement between HACoLA and the Housing Authority of
the city of Santa Monica. Pursuant to the Agreement, all program ~
funds under the ACC are paid by HUD directly to the Housing Au-
thority of the County of Los Angeles for program administration.
There is no financial or budgetary impact anticipated as a result
of this action.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Housing Authority adopt the attached
resolution approving the amended Part I of Section 8 Housing Cer-
tificate Program ACC No. SF-520 and authorizing its execution.
