Ordinance Authorizing the city council to Extend the
Time Period for Action by the Landmarks Commission
or city council in connection with Proceedings
Under the Landmark and Historic District Ordinance
At its meeting on July 17, 1990, the City council directed
the city Attorney to prepare an ordinance authorizing the city
council by motion to extend the time period for action by the
Landmarks Commission or City Council
in connection wi th
proceedings under the Landmark and Historic District Ordinance.
In response to this direction, the accompanying ordinance has
been prepared and is presented to the city Council for its
consideration.
RECOMMENDATION
It is respectfully recommended that the accompanying
ordinance be introduced for first reading.
If the city Council desires to quickly adopt this
ordinance, it should direct the City Attorney to return the
ordinance for adoption at the regular adjourned meeting on August
7, 1990.
