Recommended Action
Staff recommends that the City Council:
1. Adopt the attached ordinance establishing a private developer cultural arts
requirement.
2. Adopt the attached resolution establishing the fee required to satisfy the
on-site participation or in-lieu contribution requirements.
Executive Summary
At its meeting on November 28, 2006, the City Council introduced for first reading an
ordinance adding Part 9.04.10.20 et seq. to Chapter 9.04 of the Santa Monica Municipal
Code to establish a private developer cultural arts requirement and continued to its next
meeting a resolution to establish a fee to satisfy the private developer cultural arts
requirement. The ordinance and resolution are now presented to the City Council for
adoption.
