Ordinance Adding section 3347c to the Santa
Monica Municipal Code and Amending Municipal Code
section 3612 to Permit Vehicular Traffic on the
Third street Promenade Traveling at a Rate of
15 Miles Per Hour or Less
At its meeting on May 9, 1989, the city council introduced
for first reading an ordinance establishing a fifteen mile per
hour speed limit on the Third Street Promenade. The ordinance is
now presented to the City Council for adoption.
RECOMMENDATION
It is respectfully recommended that the accompanying
ordinance be adopted.
