SUBJECT: An Ordinance Of The City Council Of The City Of Santa Monica Amending
Santa Monica Municipal Code Sections 9.56.010, 9.56.020, And 9.56.070 And Adding
Section 9.56.170 To The Santa Monica Municipal Code To Modify The Calculation,
Adjustment, And Payment Timing Of The Affordable Housing Fee, To Adjust The
Affordable Housing Definitions And To Establish A Provision To Adjust Or Waive The
Requirements Of Chapter 9.56
Introduction
At its meeting on October 11, 2005, the City Council introduced for first reading an
ordinance amending Municipal Code Sections 9.56.010, 9.56.020, and 9.56.070 and
adding Section 9.56.170 to the Municipal Code to modify the calculation, adjustment,
and payment timing of the affordable housing fee, to adjust the affordable housing
definitions and to establish a provision to adjust or waive the requirements of Chapter
9.56. The ordinance is now presented to the City Council for adoption.
Recommendation
It is respectfully recommended that the accompanying ordinance be adopted.
