ThlS report transmlts for second reading and adoption
an ordlnance repealing fees for flling applications for
Certlficates of Appropriateness and Landmark and Hlstoric
Dlstr1ct Designation. It also transm1ts a Resolution to
set new fees.
BACKGROUND
On September 18, 1979, the Landmarks Commlss~on, after
holding a publlC hearlng, unanimously approved a motion to
recommend to the Clty Council that the f~ling fees for
Certif1cates of Approprlateness and for Landmark and Historic
Dlstrict designation be lowered. In order to accompllsh this,
on December 27, 1979, tl-,e City Council accepted thlS ord1nance
(Item 8B) for first reading. At that tlroe the resolution
was attached for Council reVlew.
ALTERNATIVES
The Clty Council may adopt, amend, or reJect the
ordlnance and/or resolution.
RECOM...1.1ENDATION
It lS respectfully recommended that the City Councll
adopt. both the ordlnance to repeal the old fees and the
resolution setting the new fees.
