Such notice was delivered to the Evening Outlook for publication, and notices were mailed to the residents; however the Evening Outlook failed to the publish the notice. Therefore, it is recommended that this item be continued until the meeting of January 27, 1987. RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the city Council continue it's consideration of this resolution to the meeting of January 27, 1987 in order to allow the Evening Outlook to publish the required notification. Pursuant to streamlined City procedures for rever- sions to acreage, no public hearing on a Tentative Map is held by the Planning Commission. The ci ty Council conducts the only hearing on a reversion to acreage Parcel Map. This Final Map has been noticed for a pUblic hearing by the Gouncil. PARCEL MAP ADDRESS APPLICANT LOTS 17944 3005 Highland Avenue Santa Monica Redevelopment Agency 1 BACKGROUND The proposed parcel map is being processed for the sole purpose of extinguishing a condominium tax lien recorded as part of a now defunct eight-unit condominium proj ect. The property has been purchased by the Santa Monica Redevelopment Agency for the pur- pose of developing a limited equity cooperative housing project. - 1 - The legal effect of the reversion to acreage will be to restore the property to its pre-condominium unsubdivided status. Pursuant to required findings for reversion to acreage (Califor- nia Government Code 66499.16) there is no dedication or offer of dedication which will be vacated or abandoned by the reversion to acreage and all owners of an interest in the real property within the subdivision have consented to the reversion. The proposed subdivision will cause no substantial environmental damage and is in conformance with all state and local laws and regulations and applicable General Plan Elements. The project has been approved by the Los Angeles County Engineer's office and certified by the City Engineer for conformance with the Subdivi- sion Map Act and local ordinances. BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT The recommendation presented in this report does not have a bud- get or fiscal impact. RECOMMENDATION It is respectfully recommended that the reversion to acreage and new Final Map be approved by adoption of the accompanying resolution. Prepared by: R. (City council Series) A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA REVERTING TO ACREAGE TRACT 38415 AND ACCEPTING AND APPROVING SUBDIVISION MAP OF TRACT NO. 17944 , THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Pursuant to California Government Code 66499.16, there is no dedication or offer of dedication necessary for pres- ent or prospective pUblic purposes which will be vacated or aban- doned by the reversion to acreage and all owners of an interest in the real property within the subdivision have consented to the reversion. SECTION 2. That Tract No. 38475 in the City of Santa Monica be and is hereby reverted to acreage. SECTION 3. That'the Map of Tract No. l7944 in the City of Santa Monica be and the same hereby accepted and approved. SECTION 4. That the City Clerk hereby is authorized and directed to endorse upon the face of the Map of Tract No. 17944 this order authenticated by the Seal of the City of Santa Monica. SECTION 5.
