INTRODUCTION
This report tranSIrll ts for Cl ty Cauncll approval a Flnal Parcel
Map revertlng to acreage a s~x-unlt condamlnium tract map, Tract
40018. Pursuant to streamlined Clty procedures for reverSlons to
acreage, no publlC hearing on a Tentative Map 15 held by the
Plannlng CommlSSlon.
The C~ty Counell conducts the only hearing
on a revers~on to acreage Parcel Map.

notlced for a publlC hear~ng by the Caunell.

BACKGRQUKD
The proposed parcel map is be~ng processed for the sole purpose
of extlnguishlng a condominlum tax llen recorded as part of a now
defunct Slx-unlt condomlnlum proJect. The property has been pur-
chased by Communlty Corporatlon of Santa Monlca and has been ap-
proved for development of a Slx-un~t affordable housing apartment

The legal effect of the reverSlon to acreage will be to
restore the property to lts pre-condomlnlum unsubdlv1ded status.
Pursuant to required f1nd1ngs for reversion to acreage (Califor-
nla Government Code 66499.16) there 18 no dedication or offer of
dedlcation Wh1Ch wlll be vacated or abandoned by the reverSlon to
acreage and all owners of an lnterest 1n the real property wlthln
the subdivislon have consented to the reverSlon.
The proposed subdivlslon w1ll cause no substantlal envlronmental
damage and 15 in conformance with all State and local laws and
regulations and appllcable General Plan Elements.
The prOJect
has been approved by the Los Angeles County Englneer's offlce and
certlf1ed by the Clty Englneer for conformance w1th the SubdlVl-
slon Map Act and local ordinances.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT
The recommendatlon presented in this report does not have a bud-
get or flscal lmpact.
RECOMMENDATIOK
It lS respectfUlly recommended that the reverSlon to acreage and
new Final Map be approved by adopt1on of the accompanYlng
resolutlon.

effort, the problem lS the Conmuruty Corp of S.M. together
Wlth the Clty of S.M. 15 engaged In perpetuatmg the raclal
segregatlon of the neighborhoods and the SCHOOIS ill Santa M:lnlca
by Nor BUIIDING north of Wllshlre Blvd..
The proposed change should not be granted as 1t wlll only
lead to further segregatlon of the schools ln Santa Monlca.

Clty Councll can make an lntelllgent cholce as to whether or not
concentratmg vlrtually all new constructlon of low lnccrne houslng
m the Pleo Corrldor wlll contmue to perpetuate the segregatlon of

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTIOK 1. Pursuant to Cal1forn1a Government Code
66499.16 , there 1S no ded1cat1on or offer of ded1cat1on neces-
sary for present or prospect1 ve publl.c purposes which will be
vacated or abandoned by the reverS10n to acreage and all Owners
of an interest 1n the real property wlth1n the subdlV1S1on have
