Recommended Action
Staff recommends that the City Cauncil adopfi the attached interim ordinance.
Executive Summary
At its meeting on February 13, 2007, the City Cauncil introduceci for first reading an
interim ardinance e~ctending and amending the modifications ta fence, wall and hedge
s#ar~dards, including changes to the hedge definition, allawable hedge heights, defined
front yard area, front yard ornamental structures, front yard safety guardrails, and
terraced walls; grandparenting existing nonconforming hedges, fences and walls, and

establishing administrative and discretionary height modificatior~ procedures. The
ordinance is now presented to the City Council for adoption.
