SUBJECT: Ordinance Amending Supplemental Constructlon
and Property Malntenance Standards
At Its meeting on February 3, 1987, the City Council
directed the City Attorney to prepare an ordinance to extend
the tlme perlod that temporary trailers may occupy a lot. In
response to this direction, the accompanying ordinance has
been prepared and is presented to the City Council for lts
consideration.
In adopting the 1982 Technical Codes, the City CounCil
adopted Supplemental Construction and Property Malntenance
Standards.
DiViSion 6.00 of these Supplemental Standards
regulates temporary trailers. Currently, a temporary trailer
may be placed on a property for six months upon approval of
the Building Officer.
The Building Officer may extend the
permit for an additional six month period. The accompanying
ordinance would allow the permit to be extended for an
additional one year period Instead of the additional six month
period currently authorIzed.
